kids

We love kids at Waters Edge!  We strive to create an environment where kids feel welcomed, loved, and accepted.  The mission of our Children’s Ministry is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children that they might grow to love and follow Jesus.
Nursery & PreK
Our Orange First Look curriculum is designed for babies through 5-year-olds.  The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially.  Through age-appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundations so that by the time they graduate to kindergarten they know these three basic truths:
  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever
Elementary
In the elementary years a child will grow in wisdom, faith, and friendship.  Kids trust adults because they are adults and because they need adults to orchestrate and protect their world. That’s why children’s ministry has an opportunity unlike any other to help kids know what it means to put their trust in Jesus. Our 252 Basics elementary curriculum creates weekly resources to ensure that every kid grows up believing:
  • I can trust God no matter what
  • I need to make the wise choice
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated
Serve with Kids
Our leaders are such an important part of our Children's Ministry.   It is vital for kids to have consistent role models who train them to become disciples of Christ in a loving, learning, and fun environment.  All of our volunteers go through an application process and a background check to ensure the highest level of safety for our kids.  Our hope is that volunteers will serve consistently one time a month.  Check out the links below to learn more about serving in Children's Ministry at Waters Edge.
